Mathers Controls

Mathers Controls began in the family basement of Cliffe & Harold Mathers back in 1951. Since that time Mathers Controls has played an instrumental role in the evolution of propulsion control systems for all types of marine applications. Chris Mathers joined the family business in 1976 and has been involved with the product for the past 30+ years.

In 2001 Mathers Controls sold to ZF Marine. ZF continues to manufacture propulsion control systems on an international scale. Chris Mathers & Mathers Marine continues to maintain a strong relationship with ZF, and value their commitment to continuing the development of a superior product.

Electronic

The Mathers MicroCommander was introduced in 1987 as the first electronic control system available to the general boating public.
